APC Releases Timetable For Zamfara 2026 Congresses, Screens Aspirants From April 28

As political activities begin to gather momentum ahead of internal party restructuring, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled the official timetable for its 2026 Ward, Local Government Area (LGA), and State Congresses in Zamfara State.

The schedule, released by the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja, outlines a six-day process beginning Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with the screening of aspirants for Ward Executive positions.

According to the timetable, Wednesday, April 29, will feature appeals arising from the ward screening exercise as well as the screening of aspirants for LGA Executive positions.

Ward congresses and appeals from the screening of LGA executives are slated for Thursday, April 30.

On Friday, May 1, the party will handle appeals from ward congresses, conduct LGA congresses, and screen aspirants for State Executive positions.

Saturday, May 2, is reserved for appeals arising from LGA congresses, appeals from the screening of State Executives, and the State Congress itself, while Sunday, May 3, will conclude the process with appeals arising from the State Congress.

The APC stated that the timetable aligns with its earlier nationwide congresses and is aimed at ensuring a smooth, transparent, and orderly leadership transition process within the party structure in Zamfara State.
