2027 Race Gathers Momentum As Grassroots Media Bloc Lauds APC Leadership
As political alignments gradually take shape ahead of the 2027 general elections, grassroots media groups are beginning to position themselves as key drivers of public perception and political messaging.
The Independent Community Media Practitioners for PBAT 2027 (ICMP-PBAT 2027) has thrown its weight behind the newly inaugurated leadership of the All Progressives Congress, pledging nationwide mobilisation to promote the party’s agenda.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze, the group congratulated the party’s National Executive Committee led by Nentawe Yilwatda, following the outcome of its recent national convention.
The coalition also singled out Felix Morka for commendation on his emergence as National Publicity Secretary, noting that his role would be pivotal in shaping party narratives and strengthening public trust.
ICMP-PBAT 2027 described itself as a formidable network of community-based media practitioners embedded across Nigeria’s grassroots, adding that it is strategically positioned to amplify the policies and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group emphasised that effective communication at the community level remains critical to the success of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in areas such as economic reform, infrastructure development and national unity.
It further assured the APC leadership of its “unwavering support and strategic partnership” in driving citizen engagement and delivering government messages to every ward and constituency across the country.
With the 2027 elections on the horizon, the statement signals an early push to consolidate political messaging and grassroots influence in support of the ruling party.
