Eid-el-Fitr: RATTAWU President Urges Muslims To Sustain Godliness, Promote Unity Beyond Ramadan
As Muslims mark the end of Ramadan, a period defined by sacrifice, reflection and spiritual renewal, there are growing calls for the values cultivated during the holy month to shape everyday life beyond the celebrations.
The President of the Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) of Nigeria, Comrade Kalu, has urged the Muslim Ummah and union members to remain steadfast in godliness, unity and devotion as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message, Kalu emphasised that the discipline, humility and compassion practised during Ramadan should not fade with its conclusion.
He encouraged Muslims to uphold these virtues in their daily conduct, noting that they are essential for personal growth and societal harmony.
The RATTAWU President also called on the faithful to emulate the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), stressing that his teachings on justice, kindness and righteousness remain relevant in addressing today’s challenges.
Highlighting the need for peaceful coexistence, Kalu urged Nigerians to embrace tolerance, mutual respect and understanding across religious and cultural divides.
He added that genuine love for Allah should be reflected in actions, relationships and service to humanity.
The message was signed by Comrade Izang Francis Atsen, National Publicity Secretary of RATTAWU Nigeria.
