IGP Orders Tactical Surge To Kaiama After Deadly Attack Claims 75 Lives

Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate deployment of tactical and intelligence assets to Kaiama in Kwara State following a brutal attack on 3 February that left at least 75 people dead.
The move aims to restore calm, reinforce security in surrounding communities and prevent further bloodshed.
The IGP condemned the killings and extended condolences to bereaved families and the people of Kwara State, assuring Nigerians that the police remain committed to protecting lives and property.
A manhunt has been launched for the attackers and anyone linked to the atrocity, with investigators mobilising all available resources to track them down and bring them to justice.
Residents have been urged to stay calm and support security operations by sharing timely, credible information through the nearest police stations and official channels.
