AMAC Decides At The Ballot, Not The Headlines, APGA’s Delaw Stays Focused On The People
As political temperatures rise ahead of the AMAC chairmanship election, the APGA candidate, Hon. Comr. Eze Onyebuchi Chukwu (Delaw), is positioning himself as a calm, people-first leader amid growing political noise.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media, Pastor Shedrack Evans, the Delaw campaign downplayed reports of a purported endorsement of a rival candidate by a group claiming to speak for the Igbo community in Abuja, describing such claims as distractions that do not reflect the will of the people.
Rather than trading words or chasing endorsements, the campaign emphasised that elections are ultimately decided by voters at polling units, ordinary residents who desire leadership rooted in trust, competence, and service.
According to the statement, “Headlines may excite, but it is the people’s votes that count.”
The campaign reiterated its deep respect for the Igbo community and all ethnic nationalities in AMAC, noting that the area council thrives on diversity and shared aspirations.
It stressed that no single group can speak for an entire people, adding that Delaw’s growing acceptance across wards, religions, and communities reflects a unifying leadership vision.
Central to that vision is the candidate’s S.M.A.R.T Agenda and Social Contract Manifesto, which prioritise security and social welfare, a modern and inclusive AMAC, accountable governance, rural development, and technology-driven service delivery.
The campaign noted that these people-focused policies continue to resonate because they speak directly to the everyday realities of residents.
While other camps may rely on media theatrics, the statement said Delaw remains committed to grassroots engagement — listening, connecting, and building trust where it matters most.
Supporters were urged to remain calm, united, and focused, and not to be distracted by what the campaign described as manufactured narratives designed to sow confusion.
“The people of AMAC will decide their future,” the statement concluded, expressing confidence that voters are ready for leadership that listens, serves, and delivers.
