What began as a regular day at the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has turned into a horrifying tale of betrayal and cold-blooded murder, one that has left students and residents in shock.

In a chilling incident that has thrown the University of Jos community into mourning, the Plateau State Police Command has arrested a student, identified as David Nanpon Timmap, for allegedly killing his colleague and burying him in a shallow grave inside his room.

According to reports, the gruesome discovery was made after concerned neighbours noticed a foul odour coming from the suspect’s apartment. Upon investigation, security personnel uncovered the decomposing body of the victim buried beneath the floor.

Preliminary findings suggest that the suspect may have lured his colleague to the room before committing the act, though the motive remains unclear.

The Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the arrest, adding that the suspect is currently in custody while investigations continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shocking crime.

The tragic incident has sparked widespread outrage and fear among students, with many calling for heightened campus security and psychological evaluations to prevent such occurrences.
