US, Nigeria Deepen Economic and Security Ties
The United States has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening economic and security partnerships with Nigeria.
US Senior Adviser for Africa announced on his official X handle, @US_SrAdviserAF, that he met with Vice President Kashim Shettima to discuss Nigeria’s efforts to improve its business climate, attract investment, and expand trade.
He noted that as Washington’s leading trading partner in West Africa, Nigeria continues to play a central role in fostering growth and prosperity, with American companies already contributing significantly to the nation’s economy.
Talks also underscored Nigeria’s critical role in regional security, particularly in counterterrorism cooperation and promoting stability across the Sahel.
