Gummi Residents Cheer Troops As Military Recovers Eight Motorcycles From Bandits
Public support can prove crucial to counter-terrorism efforts, and residents of Gummi town in Zamfara State demonstrated that solidarity on Thursday as they applauded troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA following a successful operation against terrorists in the North West.
Large numbers of residents gathered and cheered as military personnel offloaded eight motorcycles recovered from bandits and transported aboard an Armoured Personnel Carrier to the headquarters of the North West Joint Task Force, Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
The motorcycles were reportedly recovered during a recent counter-ambush operation in which security forces eliminated more than 100 terrorists.
Residents openly praised the troops for their resilience and sustained efforts to combat banditry and terrorism, with many expressing appreciation for the sacrifices of military personnel working to restore peace and security across Zamfara State and the wider North West region.
The enthusiastic reception highlighted growing cooperation between local communities and security forces as Operation FANSAN YAMMA intensifies its campaign against armed groups in the region.
