Troops of Sector 9, Operation ENDURING PEACE, carried out the offensive operation at about 3:00 a.m. on 24 June in Pandam Forest, Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, following credible intelligence on the presence of suspected kidnappers.
According to the Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, troops engaged the suspects in a gun battle, during which three victims escaped from captivity.

The military said all the victims are in safe condition and efforts are underway to reunite them with their families, while troops continue to pursue the fleeing kidnappers.
Operation ENDURING PEACE said the success of the mission has strengthened public confidence, with residents pledging continued support by providing credible intelligence to aid ongoing operations against criminal elements.
