Army Logistics Chief Visits Maiduguri, Seeks Timely Feedback From OPHK Command

The Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST) of the Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Anaryu, has urged field commanders under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) to provide timely and realistic logistics feedback to strengthen ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North-East.

Maj Gen Anaryu made the call on Saturday, 14 September, during his familiarisation visit to the Headquarters Theatre Command in Maiduguri, where he was received by the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar.

Highlighting that logistics remain the backbone of military operations, the CCST stressed the need for synergy between the Theatre and his Corps to sustain recent operational gains.

He explained that his visit aimed to gather first-hand information on logistics requirements while engaging field commanders for practical solutions.

He also commended the leadership of Maj Gen Abubakar and reminded commanders to prioritise troop welfare and morale in line with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede’s “Soldiers Come First” directive.

Addressing some identified gaps, Maj Gen Anaryu promised measures to tackle the shortage of trained drivers and to provide standard sheds for operational vehicles.

In his response, the Theatre Commander, Maj Gen Abubakar, praised the Corps of Supply and Transport for its continuous support to OPHK and pledged stronger cooperation in logistics, training, and operations.

The visit featured a presentation on OPHK’s activities, an interactive session with field commanders, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph
