NiMet Warns Of 3-Day Thunderstorms and Rainfall Across Nigeria
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a fresh weather forecast, warning of thunderstorms and rainfall across several parts of the country from today through to Wednesday.
According to the agency, the weather pattern is expected to affect both northern and southern regions, with varying intensity.
NiMet advised the public to take necessary precautions, especially road users and air travellers, as the conditions could pose safety risks.
“Thunderstorms and rainfall are anticipated across Nigeria within this period. Members of the public should be alert and plan their activities accordingly,” the agency said in its advisory.
The forecast comes at a time when many communities are still grappling with flooding concerns, making NiMet’s early warning critical for disaster preparedness.
